From March 20-April 1, 34 volunteers traveled to Paraguay to construct a church for the Painu congregation in Asuncion, Paraguay. The team also conducted a dental and vision clinic in the town.
The construction team built a 24'x50x church right off the town square, making the church very visible! The church members were in a very small rented house that wasn't conducive to worship nor evangelism. We were blessed with a wonderful Maranatha team that were very patient with us and great collaborators. We completed the entire church and the team was able to complete the roof on time for the dedication on Sabbath morning. We were blessed with mostly good weather - it rained, but God would stop the rain when we were working and would start it IMMEDIATELY after we completed large sections of work! God blessed our team with good health as well.
The Dental and vision outreach team set up shop right next to the old rented church and served dozens of people in the community and drew people to the church for the dedication on Sabbath.
After the work was done and we worshipped with the Maranatha team, our group was able to see some of the wonderful sights in that part of the world - mainly Iguazu Falls in Brazil and Argentina.
