Our spring 2015 mission trip saw us travel to La Chorrera, Panama to build two school classrooms. The school had existed for years and had long outgrown their facility. These two classrooms, along with the two constructed by our youth team in Summer 2015, allowed to the school to increase enrollment and improve the learning experience. We had 39 volunteers on this trip.
Our construction team was able to complete both of the block classrooms in six days. This was the first time our team had attempted multiple block buildings in a single trip and God was able to work through us to complete the work on time with no incidents.
The VBS team were able to conduct their program at the existing school while we were constructing the new buildings. The children were very receptive and excited to move into their new school classrooms.
Our medical and dental team traveled throughout the area to different towns to conduct the clinic. They were able to treat hundreds of patients during the week and made a huge impact to the local community.
For our excursion, we were able to visit the Panama Canal and see ships transit the canal and visit Old Town Panama.
