2025 Iquitos, Peru Church Project

2025 Stonehill Church Team trip summary

From October 30-November 12, 28 volunteers traveled to Iquitos, Peru to construct a church for the congregation. The team also conducted a Vacation Bible School and medical clinic in the town.

The construction team built a 24'x 41' church for the congregation. The steel and roof had been there for a while and had been promised a church for years. We were able to complete the block walls in four days! Praise the Lord! We were also able to complete the sidewalks and clean everything to be ready for Sabbath.

The VBS and medical outreach teams held their medical outreach at the school every day and ministered to hundreds of young people throughout the week. They then conducted the Vacation Bible School on the street right next to the church. By the end of the week, they had over 100 children a day attending the VBS!

After the work was done and we worshipped with the local church , our group was able to see some of the wonderful sights in that part of the world - a boat ride on the Amazon river and Machu Picchu!
