Our 2011 mission trip took us to Choluteca, Honduras to work on a school campus, conduct a medical clinic and conduct Vacation Bible School in town. We had 47 volunteers on this mission trip.
We were working on a large school campus, including the final blockwork on a large Education and Evangelism Center and two metal classrooms, including walls and roof. As this was the final blockwork on the exterior, we were working VERY high on the building - four scaffold levels high. Safety was a priority as was hydration as it was over 100 degrees every day. This was our first time working with the metal buildings, so once the team got the hang of it, they were able to move quickly.
Our medical and dental team were able to treat hundreds of patients in the area.
The VBS team were able to conduct the program in the area and show hundred's of the area children about God and tell them about the new church.
For our excursion, we visited a small town near the capital and did shopping and visited a local waterfall.
