2010 Chiapas, Mexico Mission Trip

Our 2010 mission trip took us to the state of Chiapas, Mexico to work on three churches, conduct a medical clinic and conduct Vacation Bible School in the local areas. We had 50 volunteers across two weeks on this mission trip. Since we did three churches, we had two separate groups work on the churches and six of us stayed for both weeks.

We build our first church in Liquidambar, Mexico. This was a very remote community and they were very wary of us at first. In addition to building the block church, there was a community of members that had displaced from their home in the mountains due to flooding. The name of the town was Buena Vista Coracol and we built a One Day Church on Friday of that first week and the members later built the block walls.

The second week was in a town called Ixhuatan, Mexico. We were able to build the church and complete during the week. No VBS nor medical as we didn't have the resources for both weeks.

We had a medical and dental team in Liquidambar and they made a huge impact in that community.

The VBS team were able to conduct the program in the Liquidambar area and show hundred's of the area children about God and tell them about the new church.

For our excursion, we visited the Mayan ruins in Palenque and visited a waterfall in the area.
