2003 Yaguate, Dominican Republic Mission Trip

Our 2003 mission trip took us to Yaguate, Dominican Republic to build a church, lead an evangelistic series and conduct a dental/medical clinic. We had 20 volunteers on this trip from our church and conducted the trip with my parent's church from Ohio. This was our first big trip from our church. We had been involved with two smaller trips previously, but this was the first that I had a lead in planning and scouting.

We constructed a church for the local congregation. This was our first year working together with my parent's church and formed a great team. We almost completed the church and were able to dedicate it the final Sabbath.

We had a medical team that brought much needed services to the town. They provided many services, including surgeries and served hundreds of patients. Pastor Frank also led out in an evangelism series every night.

For our excursion, the team was able to visit a resort in Punta Cana for some relaxation after the trip.

Sadly, we don't have many pictures to show from these early trips.
